ELOPEMENT CEREMONY –

Simple and Romantic $250*

 

Choose our serene pondview location in Watertown, CT, or your own site in Watertown. I like to call this the "Cheap and Cheerful" ceremony.

 

The service lasts approximately 10 minutes and includes: opening words, a statement of intention (the "I do's"), vows, the exchange of rings, signing of the marriage license, a blessing if chosen, pronouncement, and, of course, a kiss!

 

In some cases, I may even be able to perform the ceremony on the same day you call. This option is perfect for couples who want something informal but prefer not to have a courthouse or town hall wedding. It can often be arranged on very short notice.

 

I offer pre-written elopement ceremonies for weddings, vow renewals, or gender-neutral commitment ceremonies.

 

Elopement Ceremony Includes:

  • My pre-written ceremony in an informal setting.

  • Arrival of the officiant 10 minutes before the start of the ceremony (if not at the Watertown location). Note: Prices may be slightly higher if the location is over 15 miles away.

  • Filing of the marriage license

 

What's Not Included:

The elopement ceremony is a charming and affordable alternative to a county courthouse or town hall wedding. It is designed for intimate, informal marriages and is not intended for couples who desire a more formal setting with features such as a processional, seated guests, a wedding party, or more than two guests. If you're looking for these elements at an affordable price, we recommend our Classic Ceremony.

The Classic Ceremony is our most popular option. It includes everything offered in the intimate elopement ceremony, plus additional personalized touches.

 

Classic Ceremony Includes:

  • An initial "getting to know you" meeting, allowing me to custom tailor your ceremony to reflect your unique story.

  • A tailor-made ceremony at your choice of venue.

  • Arrival of the officiant 20 minutes before the start of the ceremony.

  • Filing of the marriage license.

  • Note: Prices may be slightly higher if the location is over 15 miles away.

Personalized and Creative Starting at $450*

 

This is where the real fun begins! The Premium Custom Ceremony starts with a complimentary introductory meeting to discuss your plans. During this meeting, you’ll have the chance to explore my extensive collection of ceremony resources and brainstorm ideas with a professional. While this meeting is best held in person, we’re happy to accommodate you with a phone call, FaceTime video, or email if you’re planning from out of town.

 

The Premium Custom Ceremony allows you to co-create a beautifully written and performed ceremony that feels warm and personal. You’ll have the option to choose from a wide variety of wording selections, or you can add your own wording to any part of the ceremony if you prefer. Our philosophy is that each ceremony should reflect the unique values of the couple, whether religious, spiritual, or secular.

 

You’ll work one-on-one with me, and by the time your wedding day arrives, we’ll feel like old friends. Typically, couples meet with their officiant twice—once for the initial complimentary meeting and again to finalize the details of their custom ceremony.

 

Premium Custom Ceremony Includes:

  • Initial consultation: A "getting to know you" meeting and one ceremony-writing session

  • Consultations: Phone and email consultations as needed

  • Custom ceremony: Individually written, including core components plus one additional component of your choice*

  • Written script: A full written script of your ceremony

  • Officiant arrival: 30 minutes prior to the ceremony for coordination (for off-site ceremonies). For ceremonies at our Watertown location, you can invite up to six guests, including children

  • Ceremony performance

  • Filing of marriage license

  • Optional rehearsal: Available for an additional fee
